Nobody knows quite where the Queen of Clubs goes when she slips away, but she always returns looking pleased with herself.
There’s an ease about her that makes this piece feel personal. Crown on, hair loose, a little smoke rising from the vessel in her hand. She seems perfectly comfortable taking her time.
The ornate playing card artwork gives her a world of her own, with gardens below and distant towers beyond. It’s a beautiful piece to keep close, especially if you appreciate a quiet moment that belongs entirely to you.
The glaze deserves a slow look, too. Teal green flows into softer, misty tones, with fine speckling and long trails down the body. Warm gold around the lower neck and metallic copper at the shoulder, mouth and base give it the richness of an aged finish. In the light, different parts catch and glow. Turn it in your hands and there’s always another detail.
