Two bright parrots perch among weed leaves, with turquoise wings, orange chests and deep red tail feathers. One leans toward the other like there’s a conversation in progress. Neither seems concerned about what month it is.
The soft green foliage and pale blue background give the artwork a warm, sunny feel. Something to brighten your day, even when the view out the window isn’t doing its part.
The glaze mixes sky blue and bold black crackle with warm metallic copper around the rim, shoulder and base. Smoky blue and grey trails flow down the body beside larger patches of crackle. The blue picks up the parrots’ wings, while the copper brings out the warmth of their orange feathers.
