I wanted this one to feel like a strange lost Berkshire comic you might have found folded up in the back of an old pickup truck sometime around 1978. Tough, funny, a little crazy, and completely at home in the woods.
“Forged in the Hills… Rooted in the Deep Woods!” runs across the top, with “Buds! Brawls! Beards!” beside him and “High Times! Heavy Hits! Old School Strength!” along the bottom. Honestly, I’m not sure what happens at Deep Woods Fight Club, and I’m probably better off not asking.
Bright blue crackle glaze wraps around the body and neck, with intricate black lines breaking through the blue. Deep glossy black around the rim, shoulder and base gives it a strong, finished look. The blue picks up his coat and the oversized lettering, while the orange, cream and forest greens give the artwork that worn old comic feel.
